Huge, Graphic and Gory Street Art Murals by Aryz

Aryz is an artist from Barcelona, Spain, who creates both indoor and outdoor art. That is, he has turned his hand to creating enormous street art murals around the world while still pursuing art indoors in the form of illustrations and paintings. His graffiti paintings are mixed media, created with spray cans, rollers and brushes, and while some graffiti artists might claim that street art created with anything other than spray cans is not traditional graffiti; they’d need to take note that Aryz’s art works are anything but traditional and have in fact leapt feet first into the realm of the extraordinary. His style is reminiscent of Dhear One, a graffiti artist and illustrator that he has successfully collaborated with in the past. Both artists have a graphic style in the form of bold lines and flat areas of color.

To create a sense of depth and perspective in his art works, Aryz doesn’t just draw his characters in three dimensions, he also uses contour lines, like those found in maps, to create a 3-dimensional attitude within each piece. Aryz has an interesting use of color in his designs. While most artists tend to create one painting after another with a single color palette, Aryz doesn’t restrict himself to a specific set of hues. Some of his street art works have a subdued and thoughtful color palette while others seem to explode with bright hues and highly saturated color palettes. His choice of color in each painting appears to depend on what mood and attitude the artist was feeling during the creative process.
