Jim Vision turns the Streets into Scenes from a Graphic Novel

Jim Vision (aka Probs) is one of the brilliant street artists that make up the art group EndOfTheLine. His graffiti murals bring to life creatures and characters that one would expect to find in the pages of a graphic novel, rather than on a busy street corner. Aliens, warriors, nameless beasts and robots all make an appearance in Vision’s fantasy and science fiction wall murals.

The term “graphic novel” was first used in 1964 to describe a fictional story that was presented in comic book form. Graphic novels often include beautiful art works in place of the simpler, stylized illustrations found in comic books, but other than this distinction, it’s quite tricky to tell comic books and graphic novels apart. The graphic novel art style means that in many cases, each panel can stand alone as an individual art work and sometimes these original paintings can be quite collectable and sought after. Jim Vision has essentially turned urban walls into real life graphic novel scenes. By bringing graphic novel art out of the pages of a book and onto the street, he allows passers-by to step into an alternate reality for just a moment in time.

You can visit Jim Vision on Facebook or spend some quality time with his Instagram account.
