An Ordinary School with an Extraordinary Street Art Mural

Ryane Abdelmouhcine, headmaster of the college Tariq Ben Ziad, decided to inspire his students to be more creative, so he invited two French street artists, POES and JO BER to create a large-scale mural at the school. The two artist flew all the way from France to Marrakech in Morocco in order to start work on the painting.

The mural was designed to look like a scene out of a video game. A giant robot, the master of the game, invites the school children into the game with colorful characters and props. Each corner of the mural depicts a different season, represented with different color schemes and characters. How many cans of spray paint this art work took is unknown but I wouldn’t be surprised if Poes and Jo Ber used thousands of spray cans. And they’re passing on their skills with spray paint – the artists worked with 30 students on a second mural within the school.

To find out more about the artists, you can click on their names above to find them on Facebook.
